Innocence
Innocence
We were all born into this world utterly innocent
Although we have no history this moment in abundant
We are unknown and untouched in this state of purity
With no history comes no sorrow and no feeling of animosity
We travel through the journey of life learning many lessons
Many from the mistakes we make and others from our observations
We develop our understanding on what’s perceived as right and wrong
And we take on this ideology as we travel along
So our identity is not developed solely by ones self
We learn how to adapt in society in a way to preserve our health
Therefore if we’re not careful the person we could turn out to be
Can actually be developed by others almost like a commodity
But no matter what societies influences do
And no matter what we choose to put ourselves through
There is always that part we hold on tightly to
The innocence in us we don’t want to lose
